Cliffs of Moher

We have been fortunate enough to have visited the Cliffs of Moher twice  - and had fairly decent weather both times (a small miracle once - doubly so when experienced twice).

What can I say... it is bloody windy out on the Cliffs and if it does rain you are going to get soaked to the core.

If you have to choose between the Giant's Causeway and the Cliffs, go for the Cliffs - you won't be disappointed and there is generally a marginally better chance the weather will be better out west as opposed to the north. But either attraction are an amazing experience.

For the less timid, there is a path to the right along the edge of the cliff. Many tourists jump the wall and walk right on the edge a step from peril... and more than a few have plunged to their death...

There is an interesting phenomenon caused by a 700 foot cliff and wind - in which the rain blows up (see second picture below):

Even the journey home is a sight to behold with quaint farms and narrow country roads all the way back to home...

Homeward bound to Dublin
